Pooja

As defined in the Guru Granth, we should perform "Pooja" only to God and to no other person or materialistic form.

Our dilema is how do we perform "Pooja" of God who, to us, is invisible and imperceptible ?

Meditation of Naam is itself the "Pooja" of God ( as stated in the quotations below ). The spiritual stage of Naam is the only method of performing "Pooja" of God.

If we symbolise Naam as 'sandal wood' then it is our Maan which is the 'grindstone' upon which we grind the 'sandal wood' of Naam ( simile ).

Naam is the only form by which we can serve and realise God. There is no other method for this realisation ( i.e. "Pooja" ).

If we achieve the spiritual stage of Naam in our Maan then we have fulfilled our Pooja. Then we realise that there is no need for any other form of worships or rituals to achieving God.

The spiritual knowledge, in the Guru Granth, is paramount to finding the correct and exact method by which we can achieve the stage of Naam.

Without this knowledge, and without the correct interpretation and application of this Gian, we can easily be distracted into other "useless" forms of Pooja in existence nowadays.

It is only when we reach the spiritual meeting of Sat Guru, thru the meditation of Naam, that we can begin to realise the Pooja of God.
